Reggie and Max are 6 year old Dachshunds. Reggie jumped off the couch and lost the use of his hind legs. He also had trouble going to the bathroom on his own. Buddy suddenly lost the use of his back legs, and couldn't control his bowel/bladder. His parents took him to the emergency vet where he had an MRI and was diagnosed with a Fibrocartilaginous embolism. Skye was a 15 year old black lab! She had weakness in her hind end due to arthritis (Mom said all those wild years when she was young caught up to her). She was on a maintenance plan to keep her moving and feeling her best. After her visits she loved to stroll around her yard and sniff. She has since crossed the rainbow bridge, but Dr. Lacy still thinks of her often.

When Sky first came to see Dr. Lacy she had a hard time going up steps and jumping on furniture. The vet said she had a slipped disc and prescribed medication. They were concerned that long term she may need surgery. Nowadays, Sky gets to play with her neighborhood bestie, jumps on the bed, and can go up and down the stairs on her own.
Don't be fooled, he smiles for belly rubs and refers to Dr. Lacy as the "boop boop lady"! When he first came to see Dr. Lacy, he suffered from frequent limp tail issues. Since starting therapy, he has never had a flare up no matter how much he wags his tail!

Peterbilt is a 24 year old Haflinger and is a part of a group of Equestrian Therapy Horses in Dallas, TX. They offer a safe and welcoming environment for veterans and those in need of PT/OT.
Poppy the Pekin duck initially came to see Dr. Lacy for arthritis in her ankle that caused mobility issues. Poppy's mom noticed she was having a hard time swimming in the pond and wanted to try an alternative approach to restore mobility. She loved to talk during her visits.

Bella first came to see Dr. Lacy because she jumped off a high bed and injured her back. After she improved, Dr. Lacy saw her as needed for flare ups. It can be tough having a long back and little legs!
Bella recently crossed the rainbow bridge, but was able to live a long, meaningful life with her humans.
