What To Expect On Your First Visit
Dr. Lacy will take the time to get to know you and your pet. She has an appreciation for the Fear Free environment and always wants your pet to associate her and her tools with good energy. After reviewing your pet's history, she will assess gait, muscle tone, and motion palpate the joints of the spine and extremities searching for areas of restriction or sensitivity. Using a tool called an Activator or her hands, she will apply a fast and specific thrust to the segments that aren't moving properly. This will allow your pet the best potential for proper biomechanics which can help them move better and feel better long term. Because things may have been stuck this way for a long time, don't expect to fix it over night. It may require several weeks to restore normal motion and function. Similar to physical therapy after surgery.
