Dr. Lacy is a Pittsburgh native and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Penn State University. Later she graduated from Parker University in Dallas, TX with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. While there, she completed an internship at the Dallas VA Hospital, a highly sought after program where only 8 students are chosen to participate per semester. After graduation, she continued her education and earned the designation of Certified Veterinary Chiropractitioner (CVCP). Most recently she completed Parker University's Animal Chiropractic Program and passed her AVCA certification examinations that are exclusive to veterinarians and chiropractors.
She has trained with many chiropractors and worked in several veterinary hospitals in the Pittsburgh area. Her vast experience gives her a unique approach in helping patients. Over the years she has received many pawsitive reports from pets and their parents! She has worked with dogs, cats, rabbits, small birds, goats, ducks, and horses!
Dr. Lacy has always had a special place in her heart for animals. In kindergarten, she was assigned to make a poster for the 100th day of school including 100 images with a theme. She made a giant poster board heart with 100 different photos of cats she collected from Cat Fancy magazines! When school was closed for snow days, she spent her days at the local animal shelter cleaning, feeding the animals, and spending time with the kittens. She grew up with many different kinds of animals as a result of bringing them home from the shelter!
Brandyn is Dr. Lacy's husband and behind the scenes partner at Head to Tail Wellness. He has a degree in Marketing from Penn State University and has taken additional Lean Six Sigma training to help improve workflow processes and reduce waste. He has experience working in health care administration and banking. After work hours he spends time teaching Dr. Lacy that not everything is a write off!
Over the last few years they have worked hard at bettering themselves through education and focusing on health and wellness. Brandyn loves to meal prep on their Blackstone grill! In their free time, they love to golf, go to sporting events, travel, and spend time with family.
Our business logo is special, as it is a combined photo of our pets.
Lacy adopted Nicholas when she first moved to Texas for chiropractic college and credited him with an honorary degree in Chiropractic, since he laid on all her study materials for 3 years. He was the best friend she needed during her time away from Pittsburgh and changed Brandyn's opinions about cats. Nicholas passed away in 2022 but his memory still lives on in this logo.
Brandyn's family adopted Jack in 2016, and loved him from the second he came barreling around the corner at the shelter. He loves his morning egg, walks around the neighborhood, and is a ham for belly rubs. He still gets very excited when mom says, "Brandyn's coming over!".
